Can't Connect to Wi-Fi? Network Troubleshooting Guide

Problem

Your device can't connect to the office Wi-Fi network, or the connection keeps dropping. This disrupts work and causes frustration.

Solution

Quick Fixes First

  1. Restart your router: Unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in
  2. Restart your device: A simple reboot often fixes connection issues
  3. Check if Wi-Fi is enabled: Look for airplane mode or Wi-Fi toggle

Step 1: Forget and Reconnect to Network

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi
  2. Click on your network and select Forget
  3. Reconnect by selecting the network and entering the password

Step 2: Update Network Drivers

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager
  2. Expand Network Adapters
  3. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update Driver

Step 3: Reset Network Settings

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator
  2. Type these commands one by one:
    • netsh winsock reset
    • netsh int ip reset
    • ipconfig /release
    • ipconfig /renew
    • ipconfig /flushdns
  3. Restart your computer
